Our direct responsibility lies solely with the courses developed and provided by geoprep.in itself.

1.2 Intellectual Property:

  • Copyright Protection: All content created by geoprep.in, including logos, trademarks, and text, is protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Unauthorised use of this protected content is strictly prohibited and may constitute copyright infringement under the Act.

  • User-Generated Content: Users retain ownership of the content they create on the platform, such as reviews or forum posts. However, by submitting content, users grant geoprep.in a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and modify it for platform improvement purposes, subject to compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000.

  • Fair Use Policy: Limited use of copyrighted material for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research may be considered fair use under the Copyright Act, 1957. However, instructors must ensure their content complies with fair use guidelines and avoid infringing on any intellectual property rights.

1.3 Platform Integrity and Security:

  • Prohibited Activities: Users must refrain from any activities that could compromise the integrity or functionality of geoprep.in, including hacking, unauthorised access, data manipulation, spamming, malware distribution, or any violation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

  • Cybersecurity Measures: geoprep.in implements robust cybersecurity measures to protect user data and platform integrity. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts and reporting any suspected violations immediately.

1.4 Data Privacy and Security:

  • Privacy Policy: We are committed to protecting your privacy and data security in accordance with the Indian Personal Data Protection Act, 2016. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect user data.

  • Data Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

  • User Consent: By using geoprep.in, you consent to our data collection and usage practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

2. Learner Terms:

2.1 Course Access and Usage:

  • Individual Licence: Each purchased course is licenced for individual use by the buyer and cannot be shared with others. Sharing course access is strictly prohibited and may violate the licence agreement and copyright laws.

  • Device restrictions: The individual course licence agreement specifies that a learner may access a single course concurrently on up to two of their own devices.

  • Refund Policy: Learners can request a refund within 30 days if the purchased course is not fulfilled properly. The refund policy will be outlined in the course purchase agreement.

2.2 User Conduct and Content:

  • Respectful Communication: Users must treat each other with respect and communicate in a professional and courteous manner. Harassment, offensive language, discriminatory behaviour, or any violation of the Information Technology Act, 2000, is not tolerated and may result in account suspension or termination.

  • Content Legality and Accuracy: Learners are responsible for ensuring that their interactions and content uploaded on the platform comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. Learners must avoid posting illegal content, such as hate speech or copyrighted material.

3. Instructor Terms:

3.1 Course Content and Quality:

3.1.1 Originality and Copyright:

  • Instructors must ensure that all course content is original and does not infringe on any intellectual property rights protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrighted text, images, audio, and video materials.

  • Plagiarism and the unauthorised use of copyrighted content are strictly prohibited. Instructors are responsible for obtaining proper licences or permissions for any copyrighted materials used in their courses.

  • Failure to comply with copyright laws may result in legal action against the instructor and the removal of the infringing content from the platform.

3.1.2 Content Accuracy and Quality:

  • Instructors are responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date, and high-quality content that meets the platform’s quality standards. This includes ensuring that the content is:

    • Factually accurate and supported by reliable sources.

    • Free from errors or misleading information.

    • Current and relevant to the course topic.

    • Well-organised, clear, and easy to understand for learners of the intended level.

  • geoprep.in reserves the right to review and assess courses for quality assurance. This may involve requesting modifications or revisions to content that does not meet the platform’s standards or is demonstrably inaccurate.

  • Instructors are encouraged to regularly review and update their course content to maintain its accuracy and relevance.

3.1.3 Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

  • Course content must comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulations, including the Information Technology Act, 2000. This includes, but is not limited to, avoiding content that is:

    • Defamatory, obscene, or hateful.

    • In violation of privacy rights.

    • Inciting violence or discrimination.

    • Promoting illegal activities.

  • Failure to comply with these laws may result in legal action against the instructor and the removal of the offending content from the platform.

By adhering to these guidelines, instructors can ensure that their courses are valuable, informative, and legally compliant.

3.2 Course Management and Updates:

  • Removal Policy: Once a course is published on the platform, it cannot be removed without prior approval from geoprep.in. Attempting unauthorised removal may result in legal repercussions under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and a breach of the instructor agreement.

  • Content Updates and Maintenance: Instructors are responsible for keeping their course content updated and accurate, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Regular review and updating of course materials are encouraged to maintain quality and relevance.

3.3 Payment and Royalties:

  • Payment Models: geoprep.in offers various payment models for instructors, including upfront fees, subscription models, or revenue sharing arrangements, as per Indian tax regulations. The specific terms will be outlined in individual instructor agreements.

  • Payment Processing and Security: We utilise secure payment processing methods to ensure timely disbursement of earned income to instructors in accordance with the relevant agreements and Indian financial regulations.

4. General Guidelines:

4.1 Account Security:

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts, including passwords and login credentials. Report any suspected unauthorised access immediately.

4.2 Disclaimer of Warranties:

Geoprep.in provides the platform and its services “as is” and without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or information provided on the platform.

4.3 Limitation of Liability:

geoprep.in will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, as per the Contract Act, 1872. This limitation does not apply to cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

4.4 Dispute Resolution:

Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be conducted in India and will be subject to the laws of India.

4.5 Amendments and Modifications:

geoprep.in reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes through email or platform announcements, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the revised Terms.

5. Additional Provisions:

  • Force Majeure: geoprep.in will not be held liable for any delays or failures in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, acts of war, or internet outages.

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

  • Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
